AIRTracker is a crew workload support system that lets pilots pre-program Non-Normal Checklist items in any chapter of flight to readily address unexpected contingencies.
-
Normal-activity checklists arrange tasks by phase of flight (from power-up through taxi, take-off, and climb through descent, landing, etc.).
-
By contrast, Non-Normal Checklists are generally arranged by domains (electrical, fire, landing gear, power plant, navigation, emergency actions, etc.).
-
Further, certain contingencies require multiple Non-Normal Checklists to be run in sequence (e.g., bomb on board > forced landing > evacuation), but they are not arranged that way.
-
The ability to load the checklist tasks in anticipation of potential risks and in proper sequence enables faster reaction time and reduced stress.
-
AIRTracker is integrated with existing open- and closed-loop Electronic Checklists and projected onto existing cockpit displays
Pre-program, sequence, and trigger multiple Non-Normal Checklist procedures to anticipate stressful conditions and reduce pilot workload if and when they occur.
Weather emergencies

Enables pre-programming of weather emergency control settings for selection in suddenly changing conditions
Mechanical failures

Pre-programs a range of failure modes to immediately generate response profiles and/or execute them on pilot command
Checklist dependence

Supports effective "stick and rudder" actions in response to inflight contingencies, supporting less experienced pilots and those more reliant on checklists
How it works
AIR|Tracker™
A
A
Flight parameters and checklist integration tailor the system to aircraft performance factors and checklist details

Control programming enables pilots to enter specific control objectives for each stage of flight, and to pull from checklists normal and non-normal responses to flight conditions, including complex emergencies

Chapters of flight provide context for setting target conditions the flight crew seeks to be prepared to address.

Condition-based settings align flight controls to pre-selected checklist tasks based on the conditions they are designed to address; settings can be activated automatically or under pilot control.
